New pandemic webinar a "crash course" for business leaders
May 28, 2007
"Pandemic is not just an HR issue," says Mark Towhey, president of TOWHEY Consutling Group, an international management consulting firm specializing in integrated issues, risk and crisis leadership. "Many organizations have left pandemic planning to their human resources departments, or corporate communicators, business continuity specialists or risk management teams, etc. What CEO's must realize is that pandemic is a fundamental business strategy issue that demands their personal attention."
Webinar provides a CEO-level overview of pandemic risks
The 90 minute seminar can be delivered through an online conference facility or live to corporate management teams. The seminar starts with an overview of pandemic risks, including a detailed look at the currently most-likely pandemic candidate the H5N1 "Avian flu" virus. Participants are then walked through a detailed "so what?" analysis that examines global risks and specific business impacts and issues driven by a pandemic risk. At the end of the seminar, participants will have a solid understanding of how a global pandemic may impact their own industry and organizations and be well-prepared to begin adjusting their corporate strategies to mitigate the risk and seize potential opportunities.
